Through our projects, FARE ensures Australians have access to honest, accurate information to prevent and minimise alcohol harm in their lives and communities. We aim to engage people across the country in a conversation about the health benefits of reducing drinking.

Be Nice To Brain is a digital awareness campaign that provides clear, evidence-based health information about the link between alcohol, mental health and wellbeing.

Every Moment Matters is a groundbreaking national health campaign about alcohol, pregnancy and breastfeeding. It’s part of a broader program developed by FARE in partnership with NOFASD Australia and NACCHO.

TOM was an online pilot program supporting men to reduce their alcohol use. It was run by FARE in the second-half of 2020.

Pregnant Pause was a project creating a community of support for mums-to-be to have alcohol-free pregnancies.

Ripple was a project supporting women aged 40-65 in the ACT to reduce the amount of alcohol they drink.

Women Want to Know was launched in response to research which indicated that many pregnant women weren’t receiving much information about alcohol consumption.

Game Changer+ media literacy program
The Game Changer+ program was launched to build the skills, knowledge and understanding of young people to view and analyse alcohol-related media.

Reduce Your Risk was a campaign informing people about the link between alcohol and cancer, as well as Australia’s new Alcohol Guidelines to reduce the health risks from drinking alcohol.
